The Stoneboat Bar has that friendly, “everybody knows your name” atmosphere that makes a visit to this family pub, just south of Dublin city centre on Sundrive Road in Kimmage, an authentically Irish experience.
The Staff are not only friendly and would go out of their way to do anything for you; they know everyone and their stories. The pub is divided into a lounge and a bar area, with a function room upstairs which is the local venue of choice for everything from birthdays to christenings.
Big screen TVs in the lounge are permanently set to Sky Sports, and when a big match or race is on, The Boat gets pretty raucous. It can be quite busy on a Friday or Saturday night, but most days there’s no problems with getting a table. The Atmosphere in the Stoneboat really excels. It’s such a friendly place, people there are interesting, and interested. Go there once and you’ll meet all sorts of characters. Go there twice, and it’ll be like catching up with old friends.
