We’re entering the summer season and that means BBQ time. There’s a few spots around the city that offer a good oul BBQ for individuals and groups. Here’s a few of your options with their prices and a few photos to whet your appetite.
The Odeon on harcourt street have a lovely outdoor area and they’ll be offering group packages on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday for €11.50 per person. Darkey Kellys on Fishamble street beside Christchurch have a weekly BBQ on Thursdays at 7.30pm. The best thing? It’s free! Buy yourself a drink, and then show your voucher outside for your free BBQ food. It’s also followed by live music at 8.30pm and they have a craft beer of the week for €4 and a whiskey of the week too.

The new Sams bar on Dawson street have a nice terrace at the front where they’ll be serving up their BBQ options. Burgers, hot dogs, chicken, and veggie options available for €10.95. Served with potatoes and salads.
Alfie Byrnes on earlsfort terrace have a great deal of one of their Galway bay beers and a burger for €10. Their outdoor terrace is very pleasant and even has heaters for later in the night when the chill inevitably sets in. They have a huge selection of craft beers and if BBQ isn’t your thing, they also have a great food menu indoors.

The BBQs in Grafton Lounge are all weather and can accommodate corporate bookings of up to 300 people. They run at €14.95 per head with a selection of prime Irish beef burger, pork and leek sausage, cajun chicken, and a number of sides. Minimum booking for BBQs is 40 people. Diceys Garden will have a BBQ most nights of the week during the summer, including prices from just €3.50 on Wednesday and Thursdays. It should prove a popular venue during the world cup and they can cater for large party bookings. diceys@russellcourthotel.ie
The Morgan have an interesting BBQ party offer, and in a penthouse no less! For €49 per person you get a BBQ, hire of the penthouse, DJ for 2 hours, a bartender, and free overnight accommodation for the booker.
