The opening on the new Teeling distillery in Newmarket square in the Liberties draws ever closer. A lot of the hard work has been done and the finishing touches are being laid down.
Just this month they hoisted up the signage that I’m sure they’ll hope will stand for many decades to come. This will be a fully functioning distillery with a visitor centre attached, and will also allow patrons to walk above the stills and observe the distilling process in action.
Today they released an excellent time lapse video of the destruction of the old building and the work over several months to build Dublin’s newest and most central distillery.
We’re very much looking forward to being able to poke our head in, have a few samples, and learn about the resurgence of whiskey distilling in Dublin.
This summer TV3 will be airing a series of documentaries called ‘Whiskey Business‘ about the creation of the distillery.
