After doing the rounds on the international festival circuit for a while now, ‘The Irish pub’ film is making it’s way home for a screening on RTE one tonight (Monday 13th July).
The documentary seeks to explore the disappearing traditional Irish pub and to examine its impact on Irish culture and local communities. This is accomplished through a series of interviews with publicans from around the country.
The reviews for the film have been very good, especially in the USA where the documentary has been very much welcome by the Irish-American population.
