It’s been a few months now since the Twisted Pepper on Abbey street closed down, apparently for renovations and a rebrand. The former venue is staying as part of the bodytonic group, but will continue under a different guise. What that will turn out to be is not abundantly clear yet.
The new bar will be called ‘Wigwam’. The rumours were when the Pepper closed that they would be breaking the venue up into smaller parts, having something different going on in each section, but still doing gigs downstairs. The rumours were also that there would be a greater concentration on food.
There’s not much to go on by the facebook posts on their page, but we do get a hint that they’ll be producing rum…

We’re interested to see just what becomes of the place and what they’ve got in store. They’re an inventive group with plenty of experience in the bar trade, so it’s sure to be a new and interesting concept.
