There’s a Harry Potter quiz on its way to Oscars cafe bar in Christchurch this week. Put your wits to the test against all wizzards, witches, muggles, and squibs. It’s all in aid of a good cause too. All proceeds from the quiz go towards Amnesty International Ireland.
They’ve got a number of nifty Potter related ideas and prizes, including the Goblet of fire inter-round challenges. You put your name in the Goblet to nominate yourself for trials in between rounds.
They go on to say:
We’ve also got a couple of other things going on in Oscars on the night:
>“House” Cocktails, created by our in house potions master
>A chance to recreate your favorite scenes from the movies in the most fantastically cheesy way imaginable, using our in house GreenScreen!!!
>Robes encouraged, Professor Umbridge will be present and she doesn’t take too kindly to Muggle attire. Spot prize for most convincing transformation! (Polyjuice potions banned)
> An €8 special will be available on Pizzas for all those taking part in the quiz on the night, proceeds of which will go straight towards the charity pot. If ever there was a justification for eating pizza….;)
Tickets for the event cost €8 per person, with a maximum of 4 per team. To book a table, email your team name and how many are on your team to ailivecycle@gmail.com with HARRY POTTER QUIZ in the subject line. It’s on Wednesday the 18th of May at 7.30pm.
Don’t take Umbridge if you don’t win. If you do, there’s plenty of great prizes up for grabs.
