We get a lot of requests from people looking for bars with jukeboxes. There’s not a lot left these days, bar places like Hacienda and The Long Stone. Sometimes you just want to choose your own music when you’re out.
Oscars in Christchurch are offering you the ability to do just that, but without having to put money in a machine. They have a smartphone jukebox now in the bar.
All you have to do is scan the QR code (So you have to have a QR code reader), and then select a song from the list provided, and Bobs your uncle.
They’re claiming that its Ireland’s first free smart phone jukebox. We recall Coppers having an app where you could submit requests. But, all that did was send requests to the DJ who was there. It wouldn’t instantly be added to the queue.
So, next time you’re looking for somewhere to play your own tunes, you can either go to an open deck night or head to Oscars.
