I think it’s fair to say that the area of the city south of the Liffey has more pubs and has a bit more foot traffic than the Northside. As a result, it can be a bit harder to find late bars North of the Liffey. To make your night out a bit easier, we’ve put together this list of late bars. Bear in mind that some of these bars are only late at the weekend. We’ll include all the opening times we can to make it a bit clearer. A late bar typically serves until 2.30am and closes at 3am
McGowans
McGowans is open late every night of the week. Good to know if you’re ever stuck.
The Church
The Church has a late bar on Fridays and Saturdays. Their cellar bar does some good cocktail deals on Fridays and it’s a great place for a dance.
Fibber Magees
Fibbers is Dublin’s best known rock bar, and they’re open late every night of the week.
The Living Room
The Living Room is primarily a sports bar, but they also draw a great late night crowd who are there to soak up the atmosphere. They’re open late Thursday to Saturday
The Wiley Fox
The Wiley Fox, formerly The Pint, is open late Thursday to Saturday. There’s usually gigs or DJs on upstairs and the downstairs bar is open for libations.
Sin é
Sin é is open late from Thursday to Saturday. It’s a great spot for gigs, and a bit of close proximity dancing.
The Grand Social
The Grand Social has a late license from Thursday to Saturday. They have gigs upstairs, boogying downstairs, and a covered smoking area.
The Woolshed
The Woolshed is open until 2.30am on Wednesdays, 2am on Thursdays, and 1am on Friday and Saturday.
Wigwam
Wigwam, formerly The Twisted Pepper, is open late on Fridays and Saturdays.
