We tend to keep the focus of Publin towards the city centre, but every now and then a suburban pub will do something that catches our attention. One of these pubs is the Kiltipper cafe bar, which makes some truly massive food inventions such as their burgers and massive sundaes.
This time they appear to have struck a chord with people with their new invention, the Kopparberg daquiri. It does look and sound like it could be a winner, but what’s more interesting is the sheer scale of the reaction it has gotten. On facebook pages you’re told how many peoples timelines a photo or link has showed up in. In the case of these daquiris, they’ve reached 985,033! And that was last night, so they must have broken one million by now. I has had 16,000 likes and 2,882 shares.
We inquired as to whether they cocktail got picked up in Sweden or something, but the popularity of the photo remains a mystery.
If the cocktail tastes as good as the photograph suggests, then you may see a few copy cats coming to Dublin pubs fairly soon.
