It’s been a while since we’ve seen it, but ‘Into The West’ is a real classic film of the Irish childhood. There will be a screening of the film in The Grand Social on the 6th of April.
It’s all for a good cause as well. Denise Ryan has been suffering with Lyme Disease and is fundraising to get herself to the US for some much needed medical treatment.
She’s already designed a Pat Mustard (milkman from Father Ted) t-shirt and gotten Michael Redmond (Father Stone) and Ardal O’Hanlon to model them for her. Now she’s moving on to another Irish staple in the hopes of raising some more money to her cause.
All in all, she needs €100,000, or 10,000 tenners as she puts it.
The screening starts at 7.30pm, and they’re be free tayto, cornude artisan popcorn, Butler’s chocolate truffle, and Haribo.
Tickets are €10 on the door, or you can buy from eventbrite. if you can’t make it but would still like to help, you can donate to Denise’s GoFundMe account.
