After the last round of U2 gigs in Croke Park, The Church on Jervis street established themselves as the pre and post concert option for international and Irish fans. They put on themed drinks, live performances from tribute acts, and played the groups tunes all weekend long.

The band is now celebrating 40 years since the formation of U2. Well, the Church bar is at least.

They’ve hired one of the best U2 cover bands in the business, U2 Baby, to play on Friday and Saturday night (23rd, 24th) as part of the celebrations.

By the looks of the facebook event, U2 fans look to be gearing up to making this the best U2 experience you can have without the band themselves.

There will be commemorative t-shirts and also themed cocktails on the night, including ‘The Unforgettable Fire’, ‘The Sweetest Thing’, and, ‘Rattle and Rum’.

Entry is free all weekend, so if you’re a big U2 fan, it’s a must. For more details, follow this link.
