The Wiley Fox on the North Quays near Liberty Hall are running a fairly unique promotion to entice local workers and tourists in to try their new food menu. The pub will be offering any meal from their menu for only €1.00 between 12-2.3o on Wednesdays in April. They’re aptly calling it ‘One euro Wednesday’.
In the last few months the Wiley Fox, which was formerly The Pint, has undergone quite a transformation. The bar looks completely different after a modernising refurb. Following on from this cosmetic makeover, they have also set out to broaden the appeal of the pub by opening earlier and serving food to people working in the vicinity.
We tweeted them last night to ask if people had to sign up for it or if anyone could just walk in and avail of it. They tell us that you can just walk in. The only stipulation is that it’s one per person. That’s fair enough.

They’ll probably stand to lose a few quid on the meals, but in the long term it will get a lot more people through the doors and also let people know that this place is doing food.
