For years some bars have had a reputation for catering to members of the public sector, primarily Gardai, teachers, and nurses. One of those bars, McGowan’s of Phibsboro are now going the whole hog and saying outright that they’re the place for those professions. On Thursdays at least!
They’ve got a new Frontline Thursdays that’s on every last Thursday of the month. It’s free entry for anyone in the professions that we mentioned and drinks are only €3.50. You’ll just need to show some valid work i.d. to get in free.
The last Thursday of the month is, of course, payday, and not everyone works the regular 9-5, so why not start the financial month off with free entry and €3.50 drinks.
