A few years ago pubs had just started to offer snacks beyond the humble (yet much revered) toastie. This came in the form of the frozen pizza, cooked in a small counter top oven. Since then, we’ve moved on a bit.
Welcome as those €10 pizza and pint deals were to those who were a bit peckish, didn’t want to leave the pub, and just needed to fill a gap. A new development has emerged. Over the last year or so there has been a growth in pubs offering ‘real’ pizza, freshly made, and cooked in wood fired ovens.
The Living Room on Cathal Brugha Street is the latest to offer just that. Now you can watch nearly every match shown around the world on some of the biggest and clearest screens in Dublin accompanied by an honest to goodness delicious pizza. The pizza shack is located in their well heated outdoor area that joins The Living Room, Fibber Magee’s, and Murray’s.
Check it out in action.
This is a most welcome development.
