Toner’s pub now has it’s own post box for a special Christmas cause

There’s a few pubs in the city that have installed old post boxes as decorative items and sometimes they’ll even post any of the cards placed within it, but Toner’s on Baggot Street must surely be the first pub to have a post box sanctioned by An Post installed in the pub.

Guinness Ireland have teamed up with An Post and Toner’s pub for a special Christmas initiative to raise funds for ALONE, a charity that supports the elderly.

Within the pub there are special Guinness beer mats that double as Christmas postcards. All you have to do is write your message to anyone in the world and pop it in the post box. It will be delivered free of charge to anywhere in the world. For every postcard put in the box, Guinness will make a donation to ALONE.

Next time you’re in Toner’s over the Christmas period, maybe think of someone you haven’t seen in a while and send them a Christmas greeting.
