In close proximity to the ha’penny bridge, the grand social has two floors of bars with plenty of seating in a spacious layout that is perfect as a meeting place for a large group on a night out. Outside they have a canopied beer garden on the second floor complete with sofas, a fussball table and plenty more room for patrons to spill out into. Host to many gig nights upstairs, downstairs also has a dance floor and dj box in a lowered platform. The crowd there is quite varied and caters to most tastes and ages with performance art, comedy and musical acts.
