Welcome to the historic Dropping Well Pub located on the banks of the river Dodder in Milltown, Dublin 6. The Dropping Well has been extensively refurbished to incorporate extensive dining and function room areas, and to make the most of the panoramic views of the Dodder.
The Dropping Well is well served by public transport; located three minutes from Milltown LUAS stop as well as being within walking distance from the 128, 44, 48A bus routes. We have a large public car park and there is plenty of on street parking available too.
At the front of the pub, Boxer Maher’s public bar offers old-fashioned drinking surroundings with wood and bric-a-brac recreating the style of a Victorian watering hole. Our lounge has a number of 3D and LCD TV screens, so join us to cheer on your favourite team, horse or master golfer in the best comfort with an incomparable atmosphere!
The Dropping Well offers a range of seating areas including quiet secluded areas, as well as open areas where you can soak up the atmosphere. The main lounge and Classon’s Bridge Restaurant serves award-winning food all day until 10pm Mon-Sat and 9pm on Sunday. All our food is fresh, seasonal and locally sourced. All our beef and lamb are Irish and our seafood comes directly from Wrights in Marino. Customers can also enjoy a glass of premium wine from our Enomatic wine serving system, with their meal.
At The Dropping Well we have the facilities to cater for all your event requirements from birthdays, retirement parties, corporate events and weddings. We have 2 private event rooms The Bank Function Room and The Dodder Function Room as well as our Classon’s Bridge Restaurant where we can meet all your requirements. Our team of chefs can create a specifically tailored menu for your function based on individual preferences and our friendly and efficient staff will ensure your event is a complete success.
