The scourge of the conversation killing mobile phone has infected the pubs of Dublin! Well, it’s not all that bad.
One Dublin pub has decided to give you a bit of incentive to turn off your phone and simply enjoy your lunch and the company you keep. And of course they’re looking for a bit of publicity (which we’re dutifully giving them).
The Old Spot on Bath avenue will give you 20% off your Sunday lunch if you get your group to turn off your phones and lock them away in one of the boxes provided.
Can you forgo instagraming your delicious grub? Would you even survive having to talk and extend your attention span? Of course you would.
All in all, it’s a nice little gimmick.
