Cuisine in pubs has really leaped up in standards over the last few years and we couldn’t be happier. Some of these pub offering new culinary options also have some pretty good meal deals on offer. Usually these deals twin the food with the drink and give you a bit of a discount. Here, we’ve given you a few options for a cheaper option for dining out in pubs.
Lotts Cafe Bar steak on the stone deal
The Lotts Cafe Bar on Liffey street have perhaps the best deal on steaks in the city. You get 2 sirloin steaks, 2 side salads and a bottle of wine for a total of €30 Sunday to Wednesday. Additional sides are €2.50. The overall price goes up to €40 on other days of the week, but that also includes tea or coffee.

The 51 bar any meal deal

In the 51 bar on Haddington road they’re offering any main course dish with a pint/long neck /glass of wine /soft drink for only €12. This deal runs Monday to Saturday from 5-9pm. They’ve got quite an extensive menu, so there should be something for everyone.
The Bankers bar
The Teller room
The Teller Room upstairs in the Bankers bar is a new and very welcome addition to the pub dining scene. Although there’s no formal deal in place, the meals are all very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. Nearly all of the main courses are between €10-€11.95. We had the fish special when we were in last and it was excellent. They’ve got an ever expanding selection of Irish craft beers to accompany your meal.
57 The Headline 2 by 2 offer
Upstairs in the Headline is a really lovely dining experience. It sits above the bustling craft beer bar below and is by far the best place to eat on Clanbrassil street. They offer 2 starters, 2 mains, and 2 drinks for €40, perfect for date night. The drinks in the offer include a selection of beer and red and white wine.
The Norseman steak deal
The Norseman in Temple Bar have a rather inviting offer of 2 steaks on the stone and a bottle of house wine for €45 any day of the week. They also have a number of other offers during the week.
Sober Lane pizza deal
Although we do have a separate article for pizza deals, which you can find via this link, we thought this one from Sober Lane was worth inclusion here because it’s a sharing meal deal. Get a large pizza along with either a pitcher of beer, a bottle of wine, a bucket of 4 beers, or 2 cocktails for €22.
McSorleys of Ranelagh Burger deal
McSorleys of Ranelagh have a deal on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a burger, fries, and a pint of beer or glass of wine for €12.
McGowans of Phibsboro Burger deal
McGowans in Phibsboro have a pretty good deal of a bacon double cheeseburger with fries, and 2 premium drinks for €12.95
The 108 Rathgar massive meal
Here’s one for people who enjoy meat sweats. A large bucket of hot wings, an 8 oz steak, and a bottle of wine for €39.95. That bucket of wings is massive by the way.
