I’m sure you’re all familiar with the GAA themed comedic stylings of Facebook comedian ‘Rory’s Stories’. Indeed, such is his popularity and that of the characters that he creates that he’s earned himself a slot on RTE’s Republic of Telly.
This weekend, and every big GAA weekend this summer he’s going to be doing a residency in Quinns of Drumcondra before the big matches where he’ll be doing a performance to get people into good spirits before their teams do battle.
It’s a bit of a tradition for people to go to the local Drumcondra pubs that are known for their GAA affiliation. I’m sure Rory will work that into his set somehow. Quinns has been under new ownership and management for the last while and they’ve put a few quid into refurbishing the place. It seems they’re really upping the ante in terms of the match day entertainments.
Rory will start this Sunday at approx 2.00pm before the matches. Check on Quinns facebook page for exact times in the run up.There’s live music from 6pm, and a DJ to take you into the night. They’ll be open late. So, here’s another reason for you to get up for the match a bit earlier.
