The Bankers on Dame lane is a small enough pub, so expanding their capacity in any way can be very good for business. They’re got a few TVs inside on the ground floor, and they create a great atmosphere in that smallish area.
Usually though, their customers spill out onto Dame Lane and enjoy a pint outside. But, with the start of the euros, there’s no TVs out there for people to watch and catch all of the action. Queue an ingenious solution to the Dame Lane problem.

The bar has negotiated with the launderette directly across the lane from The Bankers to make use of their window space. As well as some euro themed posters and decoration, they’ve also added a TV there so that if you come outside during the action, you can still watch the match.
It’s a pretty clever way to ensure that people who want to pop outside for a smoke or the stay there for the game can. They’re also serving food outside, so they’re making it a pretty comfy spot.
