There’s fewer and fewer drinks deals in the city these days, but Chaplins on Hawkins street have some very decent offerings for you.
The pick of the bunch is a bottle of wine and a pizza for €24. You could also get a pitcher of Fosters or Tuborg and a pizza for €18. They’re some decent sharing deals.
Pints of Tuborg and Carling are €4. For students you can knock another 50 cent off that price. Students can also avail of a pint of one of those and a toastie for €7.
It’s a very nice pub too. They’ve got comedy on most nights of the weeks upstairs and they’ve got a fine GAA tradition in the pub too.
