Note: Some info was sourced from the blog secretaryclinton.wordpress.com. We also talked to one of the bar staff in McDaids.
On the 11th of October, 2009 while Secretary of state, Hillary Clinton made a trip to Dublin. During her stay she walked up Grafton street and paid a visit to a few businesses.
Among them were Kehoes pub on South Anne Street and McDaid’s on Harry street. EDIT: We’re now told she didn’t go into Kehoe’s and just passed by.

She was said to have had a half pint of Harp in McDaids while the punters in the pub all scrambled to get a look at her.
In this video you can see Clinton walking down South Anne street on her way to Kehoe’s.
Bill Clinton paid a visit to Cassidy’s pub on Camden street in 1995 during his presidency. A number of other presidents have visited Irish pubs, as detailed in this article.
We’re trying to ascertain whether her rival for the presidency, Donald Trump, ever visited Dublin or experienced a Dublin pub. The Adelphi on Abbey street let their thoughts be known about the abrasive Trump earlier this year by placing a photo of him on their urinal wall.
