The laneway beer garden in Ned O’Shea’s on Lower Bridge Street is a great asset. Half covered, half exposed (But with the option of a retractable awning) it makes for a good spot whatever the weather. It’s especially welcoming when their mock Guinness gates are inviting you in.
If you’re looking for a central pub to have a private BBQ, they can organise a party package for you. The area has a decent capacity including seating for a few dozen people. Some of the seats are actually salvaged from the original Croke Park, so you get to sit on a bit of history while having your burgers! Any yes, that is a giant inflatable pint above the gate.
