I’m sure there’s more than a handful of pubs that will be glad to see the back of the Luas construction works. We passed by Chaplins on Hawkin’s Street the other day and it feels like ages since we’ve been able to see it unobscured.
It has been hidden by railings and equipment for several months now. The railings are gone for now, and Chaplins is in full view again.
They now have some benches attached to the wall for patrons to sit on when they’re out for a smoke, or just looking for a little sun.
Other pubs such as T.O. Brennan’s on Dominick Street and Cassidy’s on Westmoreland Street will surely be equally relieved.
