The Superbowl and American Football in general has seen a huge surge in popularity over the last few years. We’ve gone from a few specialised bars showing one big game a year, to most of them covered over a dozen or so pubs who show them on a weekly basis.
Here, we’ve put together a list of some of the best places to watch the game. We try to include as much detail as possible, including whether you need a ticket or not.
McGowans
McGowan’s are devoting their whole top floor to the Superbowl party. They’re usually a late bar anyway, and they’ll be staying open for this one. They’ve got 16 screens and free hot dogs at half time.
McSorleys
This is a very good option if you live anywhere on the southside, want to watch the game, but don’t want to travel too far to get home. McSorley’s in Ranelagh is a great spot for sports. They’ve got 3 big screends and 12 HD tv screens. They’ve got a good craft beer selection and they’ll be serving hot dogs all night. Event link.
Adelphi
The Adelphi on Abbey Street ave been showing the NFL since they opened last year. It’s a good central spot, serving gourmet hot dogs for the match. They’ve got 6 screens and pitchers for €12.
Boars Head
The Boars Head is a fine pub on Capel Street. It’s a small place, but that just means a more condensed atmosphere for all the sport they show. They’ll have the game live on their 2 screens.
The Living Room
The Living Room is an exceptional sports bar. The screens are so huge and have such high resolution. They’re incredible. There’s no cover charge on the night. Seriously, these screens are massive. Event link.
Fibber Magees
If you’d like to watch all the action in a dive bar setting, then this is the place for you. They’ve a late license, pool tables, and some drinks specials on pitchers. Event link.
Square Ball
The Bodytonic group have been busy reinventing the sports bar, with their pubs The Back Page and The Square Ball The Square Ball on Fenian Street will be showing the game with a great selection of beers and some BBQ chicken and other tasty stuff. Also, look out for the massive massive sub they plan on serving on the night. Event Link.
Woolshed
American football at The Woolshed always draws a crowd. They’ll have hot dogs, drinks specials, and a wings eating contest. It’s free entry.
Peadar Kearneys
Peadar’s on Dame Street will be having their usual party downstairs in the venue. It’s ticketed, so be sure to pick one up online. It’s €10, and that includes 1 free drink and 1 free pizza. Event link.
Buskers on The Ball
Buskers on the ball is a new type of sports bar, with table tennis and pool tables galore. They’ll also be open for the Superbowl on their big screens. They’ve got free finger food and it’s €5 for all pints and bottles. Event link.
The Odeon
The Odeon are having their usual big Superbowl party with the Dublin Rebels. Tickets are available from ticketmaster. Event link.

DTwo will be showing the game on their 11 screens. They’ve a number of deals including a burger and a pint for €10 and a bucket of 5 beers for €20. Event link.

Bruxelles are open for the game, with a number of drinks specials on American beers.
