Bartenders beware, the automation of your jobs has begun! Well, not really. But one Dublin bar has installed a beer vending machine to alleviate the queues at the bar just a little bit.
Yamamori Izakaya is a late night spot on George’s Street that does great cocktails, Japanese tapas, and has a good selection of Asian beers (something rare in Dublin). The artwork on the vending machine shows a slightly inebriated beer can waving to his potential customers.
The machine has options for 5 beers and accepts credit cards. While for now it may be a novelty, it may prove handy on busier nights when the queue for more hand crafted drinks is bigger.
Bar staff needn’t get too worried. A big part of the Dublin pub/bar experience is the quality of the staff we have here. It’s not just all about the drinking. Interaction and a welcoming atmosphere created by staff makes up a bigger element of a night out than you might consider.
