We’ve written before about what a treat it is to make a pilgrimage to the Dublin mountains up to the Blue Light pub near Stepaside. It’s a really incredible pub with great live music, amazing decoration, good pints, and a very warm, local feel. They also have one of the most spectacular views from a pub of the city of Dublin.
The only problem is that it’s quite hard to get home from if you don’t have a designated driver. Now, that’s not a problem. They have just recently made available for rent a 2 bed apartment above the pub. It’s called ‘The Blue Light Loft’.
The apartment accommodates 4 and costs around €125 per night. There is a minimum stay of 2 nights.
This apartment opens up the possibility of an amazing trip that’s not far away from the city centre. You and some pals could go for a hike around the scenic Dublin mountains and make your way back to The Blue Light pub for some pints and live traditional music. You can then fall into bed above you and get up, possibly fresh, and off you go again.
Even if you can’t get the apartment, it’s well worth having a day trip up to the Blue Light. Just make sure to plan your route home well.
