5 reasons why you should go to the Sunday Club in The Barbers

We popped our heads into The Barbers last Sunday to check out their Sunday Club that we had been hearing about. Here’s 5 reasons why we enjoyed it and why you should give it a shot.

1. The free meat and cheese boards

Part of the Sunday club is that they feed you a few nibbles for free. There were 2 platters of meat, cheese and crackers, and a few pickled veg. It’s really good stuff. Incidentally, you can buy these platters if you’re throwing a party in The Barbers.

2. The dogs

The Barbers is a dog friendly pub so there’s usually a few scampering around. They even have dog beer so your pooch can partake as well. For those of us who are dogless, they’re usually friendly enough to come for a pet.

3. The seating

As the days get longer, outside the pub gets quite a good bit of sun late into the evening. As the pub is on a cul de sac, you can bring out a stool (so long as you bring it back in) in the sun. Inside there’s lots of corners to fit in several small groups.

4. The jukebox

On deadly thing about The Barbers is that they have a jukebox that you can operate from your phone. just go to the url you’ll see everywhere in the bar and select a tune.

5. The spirit and mixer deals

There’s loads of €6 spirit and mixer deals on gin, rum, vodka, and whiskey. It’s exceptionally good value.
