For a few months now The Chelsea Drugstore on George’s Street have been doing something very interesting on a Tuesday night. They’ve been giving people the opportunity to sample some very fine whiskey and other spirits by offering one every week at cost price.
It’s a nice way to let people with a developing interest in whiskey try out something from the top shelves without shelling out too much so they can decide for themselves whether their pallet can tell the difference.
This week they’ve got red breast 15 at a price of €4.50, which is incredible.
In previous weeks Tipple Tuesday has offered Powers Three Swallows, Teelings single grain for €2.10, Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Redbreast 21, and Havana Club 15.
It’s a great initiative by the bar who are well known for their superb cocktails. It’s a great way of educating people about what they’re drinking.
