Fans of Father Ted are often treated to pub quizzes and the occasional themed night out in Dublin, but one pub is going a big step further by hosting a Ted Fest over a weekend.
Over the Easter Bank holiday weekend on Saturday and Sunday they’ll be hosting hordes of Ted fans with several events along the way. They’re going to attempt to break the record for the largest gathering of Father Ted characters at 6pm. Then at 9pm the lovely girls competition will commence which will feature trouser ironing, 30 second tea making, and several other wit testing categories.
On the Sunday Father Damo himself (Joe Rooney) will host The Big Screen Quiz which features interactive questions. There will also of course be the freak pointing, drinks specials, and prizes for best dressed and best team name. The grand prize is €250 just waiting to rest in your account. It’s €45 to enter a table of 4 people.
