It’s a very welcome trend that more and more pubs in Dublin are offering live entertainment, and not just at the weekends. The Hairy Lemon on Stephen’s Street are on trend with this and have started offering live music 7 nights a week.
It’s a good spot that mixes a local and visiting tourist crowd and nothing gets people mixing in a good mood better than some music. There will be trad sessions on Sundays, Mondays, and Tuesdays. We’ve been in on these nights with some of our pub crawls and the musical standard is very high and complements the traditional feel of the pub.
Pair up the music with a nice bit of grub that they’re famous for (the pub has its own cook book!), and maybe a pint of Dublin Blonde.
Other nights of the week feature musicians playing covers and pub standards. It’s a nice addition to an already atmospheric pub. Check out the video of The Pacinos, who play on Saturdays.
