This is a new one to us but it sounds like something worth celebrating. Galentines is apparently the day after Valentines day where you celebrate the female friendships in your life. You don’t necessarily have to be single to celebrate and it just so happens to fall on a Thursday this year, which is great night of the week for a few drinks.
Slatterys in Beggars Bush are celebrating it this year and encouraging female pals to get together over a few of their €6.50 pink gin and tonics.
The term ‘Gallantine’s’ was coined by Amy Poehler’s character in Parks and Recreation and seems to have gathered a bit of steam.
The gins on offer with a tonic are Brockman’s, Dinlge, Gunpowder and Hendrick’s, all for just €6.50. You can see their barman Pat whipping up a G and T in this video.
